DON’T ALLOW THE JOY OF THE LORD TO DIE IN YOU

DON’T ALLOW THE JOY OF THE LORD TO DIE IN YOU

Welcome to Divine-Royalty nuggets of Wisdom. Where there is no inspiration to aspire, people expire. You may have be is a state where worship are questionable. Is the world around you causing pain to you. Or maybe over busy due to the condition of your work or business etc. Don’t allow the joy of the Lord to die in your life, let it drive you crazy. Even if they say you are fanatics, let them say! If you allow it to happen, you will see worshiping and praising God as a burden. And the result is tragedy.  You may have been passing many attacks, oppositions and trouble. God is not the one that is attacking you, He is only a good friend. That is a strategy of the enemy to kill your joy or for your love for God to glow cool. Believe me that when you are grumpy and come before God, you will lack word in prayer and praise. Don’t always be available learn how to separate yourself to visit your God, your privet Prayer is more important than hiding in crowd, “but don’t neglect gathering of the saints” even if you lack word, learn how to abandon yourself in the presence of God. Let it be a lifestyle! Make it habit!

BLESS THE LORD MY SOUL

How good it is to sing praises to our God, How delightful and how fitting, God You are rich in love, and You are slow to anger Your name is great, and Your heart is kind, For all Your goodness I will keep on singing, there is countless reasons for me to praise you, Broken can be beautiful when Grace sings the melody, For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace, Amazing grace – My chains are gone I’ve been set free, My God, my Savior has ransomed me And like a flood His mercy rains Unending love, Amazing grace, I will bless the Lord at all times, his praise shall continually be in my mouth, My soul shall boast in the Lord, the humble shall hear what the Lord has done, and be glad, O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.

When people around you talk in negative tones with words that cut others up into little pieces of unworthiness, devaluing their very existence, do we enter in with a comment or two, walk away in disgust, or find a way to throw a little praise on this fire that can get out of control quickly?

As I read David’s next song of lament over those who “using their tongues as weapons, flinging poison words”, I think of all of us who are disgusted currently at the election candidates who are devaluing life itself with their words. We wonder where is the truth? Then we realize God knows their hearts. So we ask God for wisdom in all of this. How do we respond when others enter into the fight with more words of poison repeating what they have heard, without checking the facts? We must be careful. We need wisdom, insight and understanding. God will give it. He promised.

And we need to make praise a habit on our journey to find Truth.

Jesus and His thinking and behaving was and is always counterculture… opposite of what the worldly thinks. So, I am thinking that we should offer praise and good words to counter all the bad poison that is flying around. Praise for God first, then extend love and grace for others by building each other up, not tearing them down. It does not matter who it is. Find something to praise God about them and let them know. We might change the world with this thinking, with God at work in us, becoming “the talk of the town.

Developing fresh habits

There are many ways to focus your mind on “what is above” (see Colossians 3:1-2). If you’re feeling a bit stuck, try developing fresh habits. Whether you’re getting back to spiritual disciplines, just starting out, or in the middle of a long run, here are some ideas you may want to try:

Write a prayer that expresses your heartfelt desire to follow God in this season of your life. If you keep it somewhere close, then you have a starting point for your daily time with God.

Read one Psalm each day.

Use a journal. You can write your prayers to God. You can list concerns or what you’re grateful for. You can write the first thing that comes to mind when you consider what God is doing in your life.

Stop and listen. Too often we feel we aren’t doing anything if we aren’t doing anything. That’s not true. Sit before God in silence, inviting Him to recalibrate your soul (see Psalm 46:10).

Practice posturing. Allow your body to reflect your heart. Bow low in humility before God, get on your knees in prayer, or hold your hands out in acknowledgement that anything you receive comes from God.

Get a Bible dictionary and read some background information about the Bible passage you’re reading. Understand more about the ears those words first fell on. You might read something in a whole new light (see Psalm 119:33-35).

Think more deeply about small bits. Let that one verse roll around in your mind for a few minutes instead of reading five more verses. Give God room to surprise you with insight. If you read only three verses in that sitting, that’s OK (see Psalm 119:47-48).

Pray Scripture back to God. Pick a passage and pray the same one for a week at a time, allowing it to fully sink in.

Get really honest with God. Let go of old ideas about how you “should” approach God. Pour out your heart to Him (see Psalm 62:8). Trust Him to be big enough to handle whatever you’re dealing with.

Each moment is another opportunity to reconnect with God, step away from the same old routine, and invite Him to do a new thing in our lives.

It will all end in praise for Judea will prevail.
